Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Bible Widget (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on iOS devices you own or control, in line with the Apple Media Services Terms.

3. In-app purchases

The App is free to install. Optional in-app purchases — including subscription plans and one-time purchases — may be offered from time to time through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Current pricing, terms, and any free trial are displayed inside the App at the moment of purchase.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account is charged when the purchase is confirmed and again at each renewal. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code (except where law permits).
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute any part of the App.
• Use the App to harass others or to host content that violates law.
• Use automated means to overload our backend or extract bulk personalization output.

5. AI-assisted features

Verse selection uses third-party AI models. Models can occasionally surface a verse that isn’t a perfect fit for what you wrote. The verse text is always quoted verbatim from the chosen translation — the AI never rewrites scripture. If you spot a poor match, the in-app dislike action improves future picks.

6. Scripture & third-party content

Bundled translations: King James Version (public domain), Berean Standard Bible (CC-BY), Reina-Valera 1909 (public domain), Almeida (public domain), Ang Biblia (public domain). Background imagery and themes are licensed for commercial use. The App incorporates open-source software whose licenses are listed in Settings → About → Licenses.

7. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Bible Widget is a devotional tool, not pastoral counsel; we encourage you to seek a real community of faith and, where life-or-death matters are involved, qualified human help.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising out of your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms. Sections 7 (Disclaimer), 8 (Limitation of liability), and 11 (Governing law) survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged in the App and the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law in your country applies.
